How to delete customer data from Fullview

A
Written by Alex

Fullview offers a self-service feature that lets Admins permanently delete customers and all their associated session history directly from the dashboard. This makes handling deletion requests (e.g. GDPR/data-removal requests) faster, without needing to contact Fullview's support.

⚠️ Deletion is permanent. Deleting a customer removes the customer and all associated session history (session replays and cobrowse recordings). This cannot be undone.

Step 1: Enable the "Can delete customers" permission

By default, the delete permission is turned off even for Admins. You'll need to enable it once for the Admin user role before anyone can delete customers.

  1. Go to Team → User Roles → Admin.

  2. Under Administrative claims, find Can delete customers.

  3. Tick the checkbox to enable it, then save.

Once enabled, all users with the Admin role will be able to delete customers.

Step 2: Delete a customer from the dashboard

  1. Go to your Customers list.

  2. Find the customer you want to delete.

  3. Click the ⋮ (three dots) menu at the end of their row.

  4. Select Delete customer.

Step 3: Confirm the deletion

A confirmation window will appear letting you know this will permanently delete the customer and all associated session history.

  • Click Delete to permanently remove the customer.

  • Click Cancel if you've changed your mind.

That's it — the customer and their session history are now permanently removed

Frequently asked questions

Who can delete customers? Only users with the Admin role, and only after the Can delete customers permission has been enabled for that role (Step 1).

Can I recover a deleted customer? No. Deletion is permanent and includes all associated session replays and cobrowse recordings.

I don't see the "Delete customer" option — why? The permission likely hasn't been enabled yet, or your user role isn't Admin. Check Step 1, or ask an Admin to enable it.
