When deploying the Fullview AI standalone chat widget on your website or web app, you may not always want it visible to everyone — especially if you’re testing it internally or gradually rolling it out. Fullview gives you precise control over who can see the widget directly from the builder interface.
This guide will walk you through how to configure widget visibility and explain how QA tester visibility works for AI visual guidance.
1. Setting Widget Visibility - Where to find the Setting
Go to the Builder Mode for your Fullview AI agent.
Navigate to Rollout Fullview in the left-hand menu.
Under Who can see the widget, choose between:
Visible to everyone
Limited visibility
Let’s break down what each option means.
Visible to Everyone
Selecting Visible to everyone makes the Fullview AI widget available to all users who visit your website or web app. This is the option you’ll typically use once your AI agent is production-ready and you’re ready to offer it to customers or other end users.
Choose this if:
The AI chat is fully configured and you want all visitors to interact with it.
You’re ready for a public launch.
Note that only text based answers will be on by default. Visual guidance needs to be reviewed and publish for every topic, ensuring a safe rollout for visual guidance, as these need more review than text based answers, and are typically only applicable to "how to" type of support questions. You can use the Topic Trees to manage which topics are answer via text-only or Text & Visual Guidance.
Limited Visibility
If you want to test the widget internally or limit access during early rollout, choose Limited visibility.
In this mode, the widget will only appear for users whose email addresses you explicitly add to the visibility list. Make sure to use the same email addresses they use to log into your product or app.
Use this option for:
Internal testing before public launch.
Controlled beta testing with a select group of users.
Ensuring customers or stakeholders don’t see the widget prematurely.
2. QA Tester Visibility (AI Visual Guidance)
If you’re using Fullview AI’s on-screen visual guidance feature, there’s an additional visibility control specifically for QA testing and internal review.
QA tester visibility allows internal testers and admins to trigger and view AI-generated visual guidance for any topic — even if that topic hasn’t been published or made visible to end users.
This is useful when:
You’re developing and reviewing new guidance flows internally.
You want to validate the quality and behavior of AI visual guidance before rollout.
You need to test user journeys without exposing incomplete experiences to customers.
Only team members with the appropriate permissions will have access to QA tester visibility. For everyone else, unpublished guidance will remain hidden.
Best Practices
Use Limited visibility early in development to keep the widget private and under control.
Add only trusted internal emails to the visibility list when testing pre-release versions.
Leverage QA tester visibility to validate visual guidance flows before publishing them broadly.
By managing widget visibility and QA tester access carefully, you can confidently test, refine, and roll out your Fullview AI agent without exposing unfinished features to users.
